What age can my child start at KLC?

KLC accepts students from age 3 to 18. Younger children (3–14) begin with Master Key Phonics to build reading and pronunciation from scratch. Students aged 5–18 can join the Cambridge English pathway to earn globally recognised certificates up to C2 level.

How does KLC differ from a regular tuition centre?

Unlike general tuition, KLC uses a structured mastery-based system — students only advance once they've truly mastered each level. Classes are capped at 5 students, every child starts with a free assessment, and parents receive regular progress updates throughout the journey.

No problem at all. A free assessment determines the right starting point before enrolment. Many KLC students begin with very little English and progress to confident, fluent speakers through the Master Key Phonics programme, which teaches reading from the ground up using synthetic phonics rather than rote memorisation.
Master Key Phonics (ages 3–14, beginners) teaches children to decode words by sounds — they learn to read independently and spell naturally without memorising word lists. Cambridge English (ages 5–18) is aligned to the international CEFR framework from A1 to C2 and develops all four skills — listening, speaking, reading, and writing — in preparation for globally recognised Cambridge examinations.
KLC prepares students for the full Cambridge English qualification pathway: Cambridge Young Learners English (YLE) — Starters, Movers, Flyers — for younger students, and KET (A2 Key), PET (B1 Preliminary), and FCE (B2 First) for older students. All are globally recognised by universities and employers worldwide.
